The US Debt Limit Debates and Clashed on Fiscal Spending a Socialist False Argument
Having debt limit crisis confusion and standoffs is bad for the United State's financial reputation say the Democrats, Republicans, and Wall Street economic pundits.
However, that contention completely misses the point - the reality of run-away public spending.
Now then, do you remember the big fiasco when it appeared that the federal government could not come up with a budget, therefore it was supposedly within days of not having the money allotted to pay its bills? Do you remember when Standard & Poor's downgraded US treasuries for the first time? And how that sent shockwaves through the stock market, and how we were told by bankers, the Federal Reserve Chairman, and Wall Street how serious this was.
I would submit to you that it is far more serious to continue down this ridiculous and suicidal path that we are presently on, because we are headed for a brick wall, a tiger trap, or a cliff, depending on which analogy you wish to use.
No, I'm not into doom and gloom, and I do realize that we live in the greatest nation ever created in the history of mankind.
That my friends is a known fact, we all know that to be true, at least us solid Americans who have lived long enough to understand not only what we are made of, but what this great country has been through, and what we can do when we work together.
However, working together and agreeing to spend more money that we don't have, and to continue these insane trillion dollar annual federal budget deficits is utterly ridiculous, and it is incompetent.
If that is the federal government's way of showing us that it should be respected for its authority, integrity, and expertise - then it's time to clean house, and get some people in there who get it.
Last time I checked, you can't borrow your way out of debt.
And last time I looked at the news, the European Union was all over the front page.
We need not become another Greek Tragedy, or follow the socialist failures of Europe into the abyss.
We are better than that, we are stronger than that, and I daresay at least some of us are smarter than that, the rest of these politicians perhaps care more about getting elected and re-elected then doing what's right for the nation, well, I cannot speak for them.
By caving into the political pressures and agreeing to trillion dollar deficit budgets continuing off into the future, and raising the debt limit again, again, and again is not what I believe consensus building is all about.
Furthermore, if the entire country agrees to jump off the cliff together in a mass suicide well, I'd say that spits in the face of our ancestors that built this great Asian, and it casts a dark shadow on our children's, and grandchildren's future.
If the United States of America does not remain strong, and we don't remain the shining city on the Hill, then not only do we let our own citizens down, but we let down the whole of humanity around the globe.
I can understand why we hear so many people talk about the need for global togetherness, and the United States being a superpower in leading the way, but I ask; are we are failing to lead by example.
Yes, I dare to ask the question; what on earth is our problem? Why can't we live within our means? The answer is simple; we have weak leaders who will not face the facts, or make the tough decisions which must be made to continue what we started here, this great experiment of liberty, democracy, and freedom for all.
We are better than that! Indeed I hope you will please consider all this and think on it, that is all for now.
