3 Ways to Feel Younger Today

103 10
You're only as old as you feel, and some days we could all use a boost to feel healthier and younger! Try these three simple ideas to add a dose of wholeness, vitality, and energy to your day.
  1. Eat some raw foods today.
Raw foods are not only a natural source of vitamins and minerals, they are often full of fiber as well.
Carrots, cucumbers, and tomato are particularly beneficial for clear, healthy skin.
You can eat just about as much of many raw foods as you like without worrying too much about overloading on calories.
If you're short on time, buy a few bags of prepared veggies in the produce section of your supermarket this week; sugar peas and broccoli florets are two of my personal favorites.
Try putting together a beautiful bowl yellow pepper, cherry tomatoes and cucumber slices drizzled with olive oil and vinegar.
  2. Choose water over soda today.
Sodas are expensive and loaded with sugars, but even if you typically drink diet sodas, they contain phosphoric acid, which leaches calcium from bones and contributes to osteoporosis.
Water is a refreshing, cleansing, and hydrating way to add youth and health to your day today.
  3. Give yourself 20 minutes of peace today.
My days are filled with the demands of work, family, and schedules.
Sometimes I feel like I can barely remember how to get to my office, much less get everyone to their assorted lessons and locations after work and school.
Promise yourself 20 minutes of serenity today.
Get up a little earlier and savor some hot tea before the day starts, or sneak away from work to a quiet green refuge away from highway noises.
Even if you just sit at your desk with your shoes off and eyes closed, give yourself a mini-vacation from all the input, needs, and noises of your daily life.
You will come away refreshed and renewed!
