What is the Best Anti Spyware Software?

"What is the best Anti Spyware?" Lately a lot of people have asked me about the current virus, spyware, Trojan, and other computer threats and I wanted to clear a couple of things up with this.
Let me first explain the difference of these.
A computer virus is a program that replicates itself from one computer to another.
They can perform various tasks including deleting files and taking over your email to help spread to the other computers.
Viruses have been around since the 70s and are constantly changing over the years.
Spyware is the new threat that has emerged a couple of years ago.
The driving force behind this is money.
Spyware is installed on your computer by using some sort of trick to get you to install it.
This can come from a website that has a pop up ad and when you click on it the software gets installed.
I have seen this a lot recently from kids websites like Webkins and sites like that.
They are hoping the kids will click on the links so that the computer can become infected.
This is close to a $4 billion dollar business a year.
Advertisers will pay big money to get their products out there.
Once this spyware is on your computer it is very hard to remove.
Even for a technician like myself.
The files like to change file names and shut off the Anti Virus software.
We use many tricks to get rid of the Spyware.
I use various tools like Malware Bytes, Super Anti Spyware, Adaware, and Hijack this.
I have created numerous blogs for these fixes and no matter how many of these I come across they just never get easier.
My best recommendation to everyone is to buy a good Anti Virus and Anti Spyware program that guarantees active protection.
These range from $20-$80 a year.
This is well worth the money when you think about how much I would charge a person to remove it.
Say it takes me 3-4 hours.
I charge anywhere from $50-$100 an hour for my services.
You saved $100 already! The average home user gets three to four of these per year.
Think about that for a moment and you could be looking at $1000 in repairs just because of some stupid spyware that infected your computer.
Now how much did you pay for that computer? Getting pretty expensive to update your Facebook account eh? Or put 130 words on your twitter account? Or so your kids can update their webkins home? Well maybe to get the kids out of your hair for a half hour might be worth it.
