Remove the cap and attach the open can to a spray gun, making sure of a tight fit. Attach the spray gun to an air compressor and test spray on some paper to get a feel for the coverage. You'll need 50-60 psi, and as a general rule a smoother finish results from a higher pressure. - 5

Spray a thin, even coat of Herculiner over the surface, avoiding drips and runs. You'll need approximately six quarts of Herculiner for a six-foot pickup bed. Clean up any excess Herculiner with acetone before it can dry because once dried it will be permanent. - 6

Wait until the surface becomes tacky and spray a final coat evenly over the first. It will take between one and two hours for the first coat to be ready for the second spray, so clean out the nozzle of the spray gun with acetone to prevent the Herculiner blocking it as it dries. - 7
