Using Hints

• The best way to find all of the objects is by saving your hints. Skip over objects that you cannot find. After going through the entire list, go back to the ones you couldn't find. Try to the find them again. If you do not succeed, only then should you use your hints. If you use hints as you go along through the list, instead of after you go through the list, a hint might reveal an object you would have easily found on your own. Hints can also be used on Crime Computers.
  
  

Locations

• Each location is a new scene with a new list of items that need to be found. Once you have found all of the items, except two, you can move on to the next puzzle. In other words, you do not have to find all of the items in the list to advance to the next level, you can leave any two out. After solving each level, you are given access to the next level and fresh batch of clues. Don't waste all your time in one location. If you get stuck, move on to another location and come back to the hard one later.
  
  

Narrow Objects

• Clues like pens, pencils, cigars and other long and narrow objects are often hidden in narrow spaces---the leg of a chair, in the piano keys, along a fence, on a lamp post or amongst other long objects. They are often also the same color as the object they are hidden in.
  
  

Groups of Items

• It is easier to save groups of items for last. For example, if you have to find five chickens, keep them in mind while searching for your other objects, but don't specifically search for them until last. This will allow you to get things done quicker by finding them while you search for other items.
  
  

The Final Puzzle Solution

• The final puzzle in the game is often the hardest part of the game. You will see an eight-pointed star. Each point has a slot to put a gem in. It doesn't matter which gem you use for each slot. Slot number one is at the top, number the rest of the slots clockwise. Start with putting any gem in slot one and push the slot down to the sixth position, put a gem in slot eight and push the slot to the third position, slot four to the first position, slot seven to the fourth, slot two to the seventh, slot five to the second and then slot five again to eighth, in that exact order. The star will light up and you will have solved the puzzle.
