World of Warcraft - A Free Guide to Earning WoW Gold (Part 8)
With the enjoyment that World of Warcraft gives us and the fun we have with our online friends comes the inevitable shady dealers.
In this installment I am going to expose a tactic used by some of the more unscrupulous members of the World of Warcraft society.
While the scenario that I am going to detail is not illegal or against Blizzard's Terms of Service or End User License Agreement, I feel that it is rather shady and should be explained.
The Auction House Money Trick This trick is used when there are a great many of the same item for sale at the auction house.
A good example is lower end cloth.
Let's use linen cloth for our example.
In this example we will say that a stack (20) linen cloth usually sell for 20 silver pieces.
What happens in this trick is that a shady dealer will insert 20 gold instead of silver.
When working on trade skills we often purchase large amounts of an item and the shady dealer is depending on us to not notice the price and buyout their auction.
It only takes a second to make the mistake of purchasing something for gold when the actual cost should be in silver.
I am not detailing this trick to suggest that you use it; in fact I hope that you never do.
The reason that I am discussing this trick is to make you aware of it so you are not a victim.
When you are purchasing items at the auction house pay close attention to what you are doing or you could very easily become a victim of this type of trick.
We will continue this Free Guide in part 9, beginning a discussion of how to use professions to reap huge profits in World of Warcraft.
Further installments will dig deeper into ways that you can use to make easy gold.
