- 1). Lay a sheet of wax paper on your work surface to protect it.
- 2). Place a piece of tape over the drinking hole on the can to prevent cuts. An adult should do this.
- 3). Put glue on the top of one of the cans and set another can on top of it. Put glue on the top can and place another can on top of it. You'll have a stack of three cans. Put a rubber band around the top can and the bottom can to hold the cans together while they dry. This is the cactus stalk.
- 4). Put some glue on the bottom of a can and stick it on the side of the cactus stalk at a right angle.
- 5). Glue a can to the side of the last can. The can in the last step should form a U-shape with the cactus stalk and this new can. Put a rubber band around the new can and the can from the last step to hold them together while they dry.
- 6). Make another U-shape on the other side of the stalk and secure it with a rubber band while it dries.
- 7). Paint the cactus green with your craft paint after the glue has dried.
