How to Kill Mildew in Leather
- 1). Combine 1 cup rubbing alcohol with 1 cup water in a bowl. Dampen a clean cloth with the diluted rubbing alcohol. Wipe the mildew-stained areas of the leather surface with the alcohol solution to kill the mildew spores.
- 2). Direct the airflow from an electric fan toward the leather surface to dry it.

Mix two capfuls of saddle soap with 1 gallon hot water in a bucket. Soak a clean cloth in the soap solution and wring out the excess liquid. Scrub the leather surface to remove remaining mildew spores and stains. - 4). Rinse the leather by wiping it off with a water-dampened cloth. Dry the surface with a clean, dry cloth. Allow the leather to fully dry in an airy location, away from direct-heat sources.
