Port Stephens Holiday Rentals

105 2
Port Stephens is located at just over a 2 1/2 - hour drive north of Sydney. It's one of the most popular destinations for Sydney siders to take a short holiday because it's so close and yet it's right in the middle of some of the nicest natural locations in New South Wales. Some of the more farsighted residents of Sydney in decades past bought or built holiday homes in Port Stephens' villages because they knew that they'd want to go there again and again. For those of us who weren't around back then, but who still want to holiday in Port Stephens there are a variety of options for Holiday Rentals.

Hotels and Motels and Resorts usually offer full service and are a great option for short stays but because they offer full service and all amenities on sight they're on the pricier side and more suited to singles and couples. Holiday Parks, Cabins and Camping areas are for those who like camping, roughing it a bit and who can't get enough of nature, which is fine if you're that way inclined. Bed and Breakfast suits those who like a more homey feel, and who are happy to let someone else prepare breakfast.
Self-contained Accommodation, such as Holiday Homes or Houses or Serviced Apartments suit large groups of friends or families who want, or need, to have the feeling of owning the space, even for a short while. The big advantage of Holiday Homes and Holiday Apartments is that they're roomy - there's a real feeling that you can make the place your own for the time that you're there. Holiday Homes and even town-house style serviced apartments can feel like homes and if you're lucky enough to find one then Fido has a yard to run around in and you can save on the kennel fees or entrusting him (or foisting him) on a friend.

The place you choose for your Holiday Rental will ultimately be determined by practical realities rather than anything else: Who's coming with you? Is it just you and your significant other or are you taking a tribe? How many are you? Are you all going to be comfortable in one big space or in many smaller ones? How are you planning to spend your time? Are you a bunch of mountain climbers or sun loungers? What are the ages of the people involved/ Do you have to make provision for an elderly person, young children, teenagers, animals or - and you have my sympathies - all of them?
Port Stephens really is lovely and has a lot to offer, especially if you like the great outdoors, but plan ahead to ensure that you get the best accommodation for your needs.
