3 Ways to Use Facebook to Get More Customers

103 10
Just like money, customers do not grow on trees, but they can be gathered like leaves, if one knows how to market their product well.
Using the internet to grow a successful business can be difficult because the internet is so vast, much like a Redwood Forest, but if the business owner is smart and uses social networking sites, like Facebook, the task of marketing can become easier, creating a path through the forest to the web site where the product can be found.
To help you make your path easier to find, especially through Facebook, the following steps can help your customers find that path, even through the trees.
First thing is first.
As the web site owner, you have to get your face and your product out there in front of the customers and the public.
If they do not know who you are or what your product is, they will not buy it, for sheer lack of ignorance, and it is your fault.
Get on the Facebook site and set up a profile so that you have that social networking exposure, not only for yourself, but also for your product and your company.
Target a specific group of customers, who you know will want your product, and market directly to them.
For example, if you have a product that relates to children, you would not want to market that product to single men over 40 years of age.
You would want to get your product out to young couples, couples with school aged children, and parents of toddlers.
A cute marketing slogan will help you catch the customers' eyes and get them to your web site.
The second thing to do is to have a party, for your product or just as an ice breaker for your local customers.
Have a fun time.
Showcase the product and have informational brochures for the customers to take home and read at their leisure.
Have the main focus of the party be on getting to know each other.
The more you know of the customers, the more you will be able to provide things for them to purchase.
The same is true about the customers.
The more that they know you, the more they will want to buy from you because they will trust you.
Take your favorite store, for example.
Why do you continue to shop there? It is not because they ignore you every time you go in there.
They know you, perhaps even greet you, and treat you like you are the only customer in the store.
Learn from this model and use it with your customers.
The third thing to do is to share a cute, humorous, or touching video or picture that promotes your product and web site.
For example, a cute video of a 4 year old girl running into her father's arms with an outfit that is being sold on the web site is a great way to get parents thinking about the outfit and how their little girl would look wearing that at the next holiday party.
It would fly out of the store faster than you could order them.
