I think the Sahara desert is truly the most beautiful place on earth. I was completely blown away the first time I saw those red dunes just go on for ever. The sand is so fine and soft, it feels like cool silk when you run in bare feet. I had bought some empty perfume bottles (at one of the gazillion perfume shops in the bazaar) and filled them up with sand to bring back home for my children. It's still the most beautiful orange color.
