Camping is one of the great dreams of any true outdoorsman or adventurer.
To some, nothing beats the smell of a campfire going at night with all of nature around you.
To others, it's just a great big pain and only wonder why you couldn't just stay at a nice and fancy hotel.
It's true that camping isn't for everyone, but for those of you that have it in your blood, here are some tips for camping if you're out and about in England.
You can't go camping without a camp site.
Here are some good tips when going about choosing which camp site is right for you.
You have to take into account what everyone wants when you decide to go camping.
Sure, if it's just you, then you can do whatever you want, but in a group, it won't be that easy.
As a starter, you should check out Ocean Edge, which lies on the shores of Morecambe Bay.
It has incredible lake scenery and is filled with many fun activities for all families.
Another good one is Side Farm in Patterdale.
Side Farm is set in a calming area with enormous amounts of land and very little commotion.
If you like walking, then this spot is a must.
Now that you've got a camp site all taken care of, you should know that there are things that can make a campers life much easier.
Naturally, tents are a must have for any camping trip, but what type of tent to bring for how many people can save a lot of hassle.
If you're bringing a group, it's advisable to bring a 3-man tent for every 2 people you're bringing, that way you can store rucksacks in them.
Wellington boots are perfect for hiking and getting through the snow if you decide to go during England's snowy season.
Knives are handy for any camper, as it can help take care of preparing food.
As always, never forget those sleeping bags, unless you enjoy sleeping on dirt and rocks! Gas cookers are extremely useful for helping prepare food, along with the Wellington Knife.
Of course, if you'd rather wing it with the campfire, then that's fine as well.
