- 1). Download the Trend Micro Internet Security installer application. The installer can be found on the Trend Micro website. Click the link for the operating system your computer is running. Select "Save" in the download dialog box. Click "Desktop" in the "Save As" dialog box and click "Save."
- 2). Click "Run" on the window notifying you that the download is complete. If you close this window before clicking "Run," you can double-click the installer application on your desktop to launch the installer application.
- 3). Watch the progress meter as the files are extracted to your computer and the installer screens on your system to be sure your computer meets the minimum technical requirements for your Trend Micro application.
- 4). Review the License Agreement and then click the radio button next to "I accept the Agreement" and then click "Next."
- 5). Enter your serial number in the box provided and click "Next." If you do not have a serial number for the application, select the option to install a free trial and click "Next."
- 6). Choose your preferred installation option. In most cases, you should select "Regular Installation" and then click "Next." If you would like to select the components of the installation, you can click "Custom Installation" and then "Next."
- 7). Watch while the installation completes. You will be prompted to activate your subscription to Trend Micro when the application launches.
