How to Repair Ice Makers
- 1). Turn off the ice maker, and unplug the ice machine power cord, located inside the freezer.
- 2). Locate and remove the two mounting screws that secure your ice maker to the side of your freezer.
- 3). Gently lift out the ice maker.
- 4). Locate the water supply tube.
- 5). Place small cup underneath the supply tube.
- 6). Aim the hairdryer close to the water supply tube for several minutes to melt any ice buildup in the supply tube.
- 7). Reinstall the ice maker and test.
