Terrorism Awareness – is it Something That You Should be Thinking About ?
Even prior to the events of 911 Americans had been given dire warnings by certain government agencies assigned the task of protecting the public, that a new era was coming. Terrorism had been spiking up in countries that the U.S. was allied with and new trends in globalism meant that the U.S was no longer isolated by the two oceans on either side of it.
A Changed Landscape
However; no one could have ever imagined the type of wake up call that every citizen in the U.S. would receive on that fateful morning of 911. Not only did it change the landscape physically, but it also had a profound effect on the way the Americans think and go about their daily lives. Is our government and the citizenry of the U.S. over reacting, or is terrorism awareness something that every American should be implementing into their daily lives?
Domestic Terrorism
To find the answer to that question the best place to look would be to recent data that indicates that in fact the terrorism threat is on the rise. Domestic terrorism has been overshadowed in recent years by events that are occurring in the middle east but is domestic terrorism something that Americans should be on the lookout for? Who are domestic terrorists and where do they come from anyway?
Radicals Interpret the Constitution Litteraly
Domestic terrorism is just what it sounds like. Its a home grown brand of terrorism that is perpetrated by disenchanted U.S. citizens who have abandoned the democratic process in favor of accomplishing their political goals by force. While the vast majority of domestic terrorists are radical constitutionalists who read and interpret the U.S. constitution in a literal sense, as it was written, a newer and even more sinister domestic threat is emerging.
Pot-Head Narco Terrorists
Narco terrorists are now crossing the southern border of the U.S. at will. They come well financed from money that Americans actually provide for them through their thoughtless and selfish habit of smoking marijuana, also known as “devil weed”. Can these pot and hashish crazed Latinos bent on mayhem be stopped? That is entirely up to each American and the level of terrorism awareness that each one practices.
