- 1). Press the "Menu" button on the Dell's control panel, and then press the "Down" arrow until "Replace Toner" appears.
- 2). Press the "Right" arrow, and then press the "Up" arrow to select the toner cartridge you want to replace. Press the "Return" arrow (the shape of a backwards "L") to make your selection. This moves the toner cartridge into its replacement position.
- 3). Grasp the front door handle and pull the door down. Lift the tab on the right side of the toner cartridge to unlock it.
- 4). Grasp the toner with both hands and pull it out.
- 5). Shake the replacement toner cartridge for a few seconds. Lift the tab on the end, and pull it to remove the seal.
- 6). Insert the toner cartridge into the carriage--the toner's label should be facing you-- until it snaps in place. Flip down the tab to secure the toner cartridge, and then close the door.
