Colaba is a tourist hotspot of Mumbai. It is the southernmost peninsula, where most travellers reach as it has a good range of accommodation options and restaurants. The region has two of the city's landmarks, the Gateway of India and the Taj Mahal Hotel. So it not just another place of accommodation, but instills a sense of pride in the Indians. Colaba Causeway is always full of street vendors, shops, stalls and cafes. While visiting the hotel, one feels as if one peeked into the past of Mumbai.

Prince of Wales Museum, surrounded by lush gardens, showcases a collection of ancient and medieval sculpture as well as Indian decorative arts. The Museum has been built with the mix of Gothic and Moorish styles. Anyone interested in history would definitely like it. National Gallery of Modern Art, located in neighborhood, displays Indian modern art. Sassoon Dock, another place in the vicinity, witness plenty of activities of the fishermen early morning.
