- 1). Click the "Start" button, then "Control Panel." Double-click "Add or Remove Programs," then select "Add/Remove Windows Components" from the left-hand side of the window. The list of components will be displayed.
- 2). Click "Applications Server" from the Components list. Click "Details" to open the "Subcomponents of Application Server" list.
- 3). Click "Internet Information Services (IIS)" from the server list and click "Details." The "Subcomponents of Internet Services" list will be displayed.
- 4). Click the "SMTP Service" check box to select it, and click "OK." Click the "Next" button. If prompted, insert the Windows operating system CD into your disc drive. The SMTP service will finish installing. Click the "Finish" button when the operation has completed.
