Popsicle Sticks

• Some of the easiest wood crafts to construct are the Popsicle stick crafts made from both the narrow sticks and the wide sticks often used as tongue depressors. Wood crafts made with these materials can be glued together with wood glue. These pieces can be bent to needed specifications by soaking them in vinegar to cause the wood to become rubber-like and flexible. Wooden Beads

• Wooden beads can be purchased in different sizes and shapes at craft stores. The beads can be used to make necklaces, bracelets, key chains, Christmas ornaments and even as wheels on wooden toy cars or other toy vehicles. Wooden Dowels

• Square and round wooden dowels can be used in easy wood crafts. By painting or staining a dowel a shade of brown and then sanding it to make it look rustic, a novice or an experienced crafter can make a more-realistic looking model log cabin or cabin-style bird house. • Simple projects may not require the use of plans but may be done simply through trial and error. Any mistakes or mishaps should be easily remedied by removing the nails or screws of using a glue solvent to dissolve the wood glue and pry apart the glued pieces.
