In Chinese astrology, the year has a cycle that is connected with the seasons.
Yin is connected with the darker months over winter when both we and the earth rest and recuperate.
Yang is for when spring and summer lighten up our lives and enable growth and abundance once more.
So as we are now officially in summer, how does this affect your Chinese astrology sign? Let's take a look! Rat - 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008 A time of plenty for the resourceful Rat.
It is doubtful that those born under this sign would have allowed themselves to slow down over winter anyway.
Love is often a key factor in their lives at this time as close relationships are very important.
Ox - 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009 Summer is a great time for those born under the Ox.
In Chinese astrology these are the workers, those who thrive under tough conditions.
This is the time when they feel at their most productive and it will allow them to show the people around them that they care.
Tiger - 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010 When the warmer weather comes, the Tiger can be a little bit frisky! This will likely be a time for fun and enjoying close friendships.
Less of a good time for making important, long term decisions.
Rabbit - 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011 The summertime can go to the Rabbit's head and make them feel a little out of control as in Chinese astrology, the Rabbit is a kindly soul but not always too disciplined.
A great time to focus on family though.
Dragon - 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000 If the weather is up and down and changeable, the Dragon will be one of the few people happy about it.
Dragon's tend to love drama of any description and hate routine.
Dragons who live in the UK should be fine over summer! Snake - 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001 The Snake likes to chill out over the summer months.
They like to slow down and enjoy the warm sun and so it may not be the most productive time for them.
A good time for others to catch them with their guard down though! Horse - 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002 Those born in the year of the Horse are even more prone to spontaneous actions over the summer period than normal.
A great time for fun and flirtations particularly with regard holiday romances.
Sheep - 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003 If there are summer parties and barbeques to attend, the Sheep will be there! In Chinese astrology, the Sheep loves to socialise and make as many friends as possible so they love the opportunity to get out at every opportunity over summer.
Monkey - 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004 The Monkey is also one to enjoy socialising over summer but it is also a good time for them to get creative, to really get their mind working.
It stops them from feeling frustrated and also prevents them from getting up to no good! Rooster - 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005 The Rooster is the sign that will be trying to do everything over summer.
They will love joining in all of the social events but equally are likely to put in over-time at work.
Can be quite an exhausting time for them if they don't strike the right balance.
Dog - 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006 Over summer the Dog likes to be around the people that they know and so are likely to gravitate towards family and long standing friends.

Boar - 1959, 1971, 1982, 1995, 2007 The rest of the year, the Boar is a hard worker.
But come summer, they do tend to let their hair down and come out to play a bit more.
A great time to find love if you are a single Boar too! But generally relationships can flourish.
