Are You Watching Alternative Media, Or "Fear Porn"?
Why are we as a society, so engaged by blood and gore? Do scenes of murder and mayhem excite us? I ask myself this question because I got so drawn in to some of the "Fear Porn" as it has been so cleverly dubbed.
After seeing a lot of this type of thing in various places around the internet, I must say it has led me to investigate.
I find myself on SANA (Syrian Arab News Agency) reading things I never would have read before.
So is it all bad? Well I would say sitting in front of a computer all day for any reason can't be good for your health.
You need to get exercise.
However I do feel that you can find really good information, if you do your own research and don't just blindly believe one persons interpretation of anything.
There is so much information on so many different fronts, that it is hard to see how things connect.
Far be it for me to be able to connect the dots in a timely manner, having absolutely no prior knowledge of politics whatsoever.
I only remember that once upon a time, we used to say the pledge of allegiance every morning in school.
My son didn't even know what that was! Unbelievable! Today I felt a little proud of myself for reading that entire post on SANA.
I even posted a clip of it on my blog.
Old Al-Assad seems pretty confident he will win the war, despite the fact that he himself called it a "Global attack on Syria and the resistance".
what does he think? Does he believe he can defeat the world? Or does that just sound like some kind of plead for sympathy? What I mean to say is that, I wonder if the world is really on Syria's head? It is unfortunate how little I know about any of this stuff! Still I have to say it is interesting.
I guess the point I'm trying to get across is that, it is true that there are many things going on at the same time all over the world.
We should be aware of the world around us, and realize there is information out there, that is there, to manipulate a certain reaction out of you.
I have to say, some of this stuff can scare the bejesus out of you if you are unaware of information to the contrary.
I am definitely skeptical of everything now! Even the ones who claim to be on my side.
Wait, doesn't that seem paranoid? Of course it does! Talk about a freekin light bulb going off! No way I won't feed into it! I think solutions are the only thing we should be focused on.
How can we change anything, if all we do is go watch YouTube video's and argue over who's the bigger idiot? Now, I don't claim to have all the answer's, maybe not any, but I have an Idea.
What if everything was FREE? I mean Free Energy, Free All Natural Produce? Well, in my book, Aquaponics and Solar Energy would be a very nice start.
What about you? Search these terms, I'm telling you, you are going to get excited! Especially if you support a family, or otherwise pull your own weight.
