Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card Review
The Capital One Venture Rewards Card earns you generous rewards at a reasonable price. There's a $59 annual fee, but it's waived the first year.
You earn double miles on each dollar you spend on the Capital One Venture Rewards Card. You also earn 10,000 bonus miles if you spend $1,000 on the card within your first three months of membership.
Miles can be redeemed on any airline, and there are no blackout dates. There's no limit on how many miles you can earn, and they don't expire. You can also redeem your miles for cash, gift cards and brand-name merchandise.
To figure out how many miles you need, multiply the cost of your trip by 100. If your ticket costs $200, multiply that by 100; you'll need 20,000 miles to redeem.
The APR is a low 13.9%, and there are no balance transfer fees. However, you'll need excellent credit to get this card.
Capital One also has a no-annual-fee version of this card called the VentureOne Rewards Card. However, you only earn 1.25 miles per dollar, and there's no 10,000 mile bonus offer. Otherwise, it has the same APR and other terms.
Recommendation
I highly recommend this card because of its generous mileage rewards program. I also like Capital One cards because they give you all the information you need upfront; there's not a lot of important information buried in the fine print.
