Training Horses - How to Get Your Horse to Stop Arguing With You and Get Sweet Obedience

103 1
What if your horse was arguing with you? Would you get on him? Would you be safe? Would you know what to do? Or...
do you even know if matters? First, let me say this.
A horse has 10 times your strength.
You know your strength better than anyone.
That said, ask yourself if you could out-muscle someone or something 10 times stronger than you.
Second, your horse has reflexes about 5 times faster than a professional boxer.
That means unless your reflexes have that kind of speed, your horse could accidentally spook and hurt you so fast, it would happen and be over before you had time to react to it starting.
Yes, it IS that fast! Now, combine that strength with lightning-fast reflexes and you have a recipe for disaster while riding an arguing horse.
So go back to the question I asked you first.
If your horse is arguing with you, would you get on him? Now that you know what I just revealed, you should say "No!" Especially if you have little experience handling horses - you should NOT get on.
Here's the problem.
If your horse is arguing with you before you ride, then you can bet he'll argue with you while you're in the saddle.
In the saddle is the worst place to be if he's arguing.
So how do get your horse to stop arguing with you? The secret lies within his feet.
What does this mean? Get a horse to move his feet and you will get your horse to start accepting you as the boss and much less likely to argue with you.
In a way, it's like spanking a child to get them to quit their misbehavior, get their attention, and be agreeable and respectable.
