- 1). Go to your credit card company's home page and look for a button or link that says, "Design Your Card." For example, CapitalOne has a "Design Your Card Now" button for existing customers on its main web page and a "Need a new card? Click here" link for new customers or existing customers seeking not only a new card design, but a new credit card package.
- 2). Log in to your account and open up the design your card tool. If there is a demo on the web site, click the link for the demo and watch before designing your card.
- 3). Select one of the images offered by your credit card company or upload your own.
- 4). Resize, scale or rotate the image so that the portion of the image you wish to display on the card fits the credit card template.
- 5). Complete your new design order by clicking "I Agree" or any similar boxes or buttons that acknowledge your approval of the design and/or your agreement to any terms of use and that your credit card company can refuse the design. Keep in mind that depending on your credit card company's design web site setup this agreement may come in two steps --- agreement to terms of use before creating your design and approval of the design after design creation.
- 6). Check out credit cards offered at hobby or interest-specific conventions, department or D-I-Y stores and through entertainment companies that market their credit cards directly to consumers based on interest. For example, some D-I-Y stores such as Lowe's occasonally offer store credit cards with designs specific to a department or interest, and entertainment companies often make deals with third-party vendors or promote direct to consumers to offer credit cards designed with specific television show, music or other media-related logos or images.
