How to Remove WGA Software Downloads
- 1). Disable "wgatray.exe" and "wgalogon.dll" by using the firewall. Your software firewall has a blacklist where you can add programs and instances to. By blocking these programs from running from the firewall side they won't be able to startup and start trouble.
- 2). Locate the "System Restore" option on the computer by opening the Start menu and the Accessories Folder. The System Restore option is located under the System Tools folder. Open System Restore and select a date or restore point that is before the initial installation of the WGA. This rollback will remove the program and the update.
- 3). Disable "Automatic Updates" by opening the Windows Start menu and typing "Automatic" into the search bar. Click "Turn automatic updating on or off." A new window will appear where you can turn off the Automatic Updates. Click on the drop-down menu and select the option "Never check for updates."
