- 1). Save your numerical product key. You won't need the key if you are sure you will be uninstalling Norton SystemWorks permanently, but if you decide later to reinstall the product, you'll need this number. If you do not have your product key, see the link in Resources to go to the Norton site to retrieve it.
- 2). Close all open programs. If you forget, the uninstall utility will direct you to do so.
- 3). Download the Norton Removal Tool (see link in Resources). Save it to your desktop.
- 4). Double-click the Norton Removal Tool on your desktop.
- 5). Follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall Norton SystemWorks.
- 6). Reboot your computer. The computer may need to be rebooted several times to fully uninstall the product.
- 7). Delete the Norton Removal Tool icon from your desktop.
- 8). Open "My Computer" on your desktop. Click your C: drive. Double-click the folder "Program Files." Locate the folder that has Norton SystemWorks in the title. Delete the folder. Norton SystemWorks is now completely uninstalled from your computer.
