Them Vs Us Mentality - Is it Dividing Us?
Presently, we are engaging in a political war to remove power from one political party and give it all over to another.
Unfortunately, in doing this we have been busy dividing sides, dividing ourselves.
Issue like social security divide young and old.
Issues of race, religion are dividing us as well.
And we have a rich and poor divide happening as well, but have you ever asked yourself why? It seems to me that yes, the "Them vs.
Us" mentality is unnerving and one of the issues in the sound and fury of human societies and civilizations.
This occurs because the easiest way to build a team is to pick an enemy and call up in arms to fight against something or someone rather than with working someone or for something.
Leaders, even natural leaders choose the path of least resistance to gather their armies (real or figuratively) using such primate politic tactics.
But then again so do Chimpanzees.
Remember these folks are only human, not much to work with.
Now then, one could say that is an unfair comment, but is it really? After all, the primate politics battles that we are witnessing on TV and in the mainstream media, are dividing us and like that famous quotation; "Divide and Conquer" are we so busy conquering ourselves that we fail to see the utter destruction we are causing? We are all in this together, and we will either succeed together or fail together, so we need to ask ourselves, which is it going to be? If change is what we seek, then we need to change incrementally and for the right reasons if we want to secure the right results.
