How to Recover the Administrator Password

    • 1). Start your computer and log into Windows with any user account that has administrator credentials.

    • 2). Click "Start" and type "control userpasswords2" into the search box and press "Enter" on your keyboard. This launches a window that allows you to recover and reset your administrator password.

    • 3). Select the account that you want to reset the password for from the list of accounts.

    • 4). Click the "Reset Password" button near the bottom of the window.

    • 5). Type a new password in the "New Password" and "Confirm New Password" text boxes. Click "OK" to save the password. You have now recovered and reset the administrator password.
