The Charice Duet with Celine Dion:

After multiple clips of Charice's past visits to the Oprah Show as well as from Charice in Vegas and Italy, the footage from Madison Square Garden was shown, Charice first met with Celine Dion backstage in New York before they went on to rehearsal together. The footage showed behind the scenes of the concert before it began as well as panned the 18,000 people in the audience that included Gayle King.

Into the concert, Celine introduced Charice and her story before welcoming her up on stage. The pair sang "Because You Loved Me" and dedicated it to Charice's mother.

Ty Pennington on His Show, Book and Magazine:

Ty Pennington joined Oprah on the show after the footage of Charice was complete. Ty shared how busy his life is on the show Extreme Makeover Home Edition that has been on air for 6 years and gets an average of 13 million viewers each week. Ty tapes 2 episodes of the show at a time while also working on his magazine Ty Pennington at Home and completing his book Good Design Can Change Your Life. Working with the show, making dreams come true for people in need, Ty shared is the greatest job in the world.

Ty Pennington on Design:

Ty explained that when it comes to design, that change is good in the home. Following the change in the seasons, periods of change are good in life as well. Oprah mentioned that changing design that much can become expensive, but Ty explained that it doesn't have to be.

Simply changing the focal color, throw pillows or adding a new plant to a room is enough to change the feel in a room. The point is to make it exciting to walk into a room and waking up in a room

Ty Pennington's Bedroom Makeover:

Ty's mission on the show was to help identical twin sisters find their own individual decorating style, which Ty recommends everyone do. Sisters Amy and Meagan from Chicago had always done everything the same through their entire lives - from going to the same college, to teaching next door at the same elementary school, to living right next door to one another, to having their children within 3 weeks of one another. Their home was even decorated exactly the same with the same paint, furniture and even carpet. The sister's concern was that their homes should reflect their individual family, not each other.

After asking questions of each sister's husband to get a feel for their personalities and style, Ty got to work having only 6 hours to complete the rooms. With the information that Ty received from the husbands, Meagan's room was more modern while Amy's was more traditional. Ty went to the sister's school to pick them up for their surprise. Both of the sisters were shocked at how Ty really captured their style and how different the rooms really looked. Ty shared that changing your home makes you feel like you have a chance to start over going with the title of his book, good design can change your life.

Oprah's Book Club Selection #62:

Oprah announced her latest book club selection for fall to be The Story of Edgar Sawtelle by David Wroblewski. It was surprising that for the first time in years, Oprah chose a first time author who is basically just starting to make a name for himself in the book world. David's book was on the New York Times bestsellers list for 13 weeks over the summer, which was when Oprah first read the book and shared it with her friends. The book is part mystery, part family saga and part love story and Oprah claims that animal lovers will really enjoy it.

David Wroblewski on OBC and His Novel:

David Wroblewski appeared on the show via Skype to share a little about his novel and how he felt about it being selected. From his office in Boulder, David shared how the book is set in Wisconsin, but that during the 10 years it took him to complete it, he did most of his writing in his home office. Sawtelle being Wroblewski's first book, he explained that his day job is a software developer and he wrote the novel on the side. While the book focuses on dogs, it is also about people's relationships with dogs and surrounding dogs.

David shared that he was surprised that his novel was ever published, let alone received the attention this past summer, never guessing it would be chosen as a book club pick. Oprah and David Wroblewski plan to do a worldwide webcast for Sawtelle in a few months that will last 2 hours and cover all of the questions viewers have while reading the book.
