Prince was my first Cat of the Week for May, 2010.
Prince is a rescue kitty I got through the shelter system in San Diego, CA. I originally got him as a companion for a tuxedo kitty (Xavier) that I already had, and I wanted another tuxedo kitty as his companion. Unfortunately, Xavier passed away from the terminal kitty disease, FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) before he was full grown.
Prince was very skittish and scraggly when I got him as a kitten at 6 months old, but he has since grown into a sweet, handsome boy.
Now he is 2 years old and a very playful and loving kitty.
About a year ago, I got another kitty to keep Prince company, after I got over the grief from losing Xavier. Meishka, a flame point persian is also a rescue kitty out of the shelter system. They play together and get along very well.
They are both usually in whatever room of the house that I am in, either under my feet or napping nearby. Prince likes to wake me up in the morning by licking my face. His favorite activities are eating, playing with Meishka, playing with shoelaces, laser light toys and napping.
