- 1). Log in as an administrator on the system on which you wish to install the new security suite.
- 2). Disable the Windows Firewall. Click Start and then click Run. Type Services.msc and press Enter.

Kill Windows Firewall
Click the scroll bar on the right-hand side of the Services window and scroll until you find the Windows Firewall service. Right-click the service and then click Properties. Choose Disabled. If running, click Stop and then click OK. - 4
Remove Defender
Uninstall Microsoft's Defender. Click Start, click Settings and then click Control Panel. Choose Add or Remove Programs. Click the scroll bar on the right-hand side of the Add or Remove Programs window and scroll until you find Windows Defender. Click Windows Defender and then click the Remove button. Follow the prompts to remove the software and reboot if your are requested to do so. - 5). Uninstall any other undesired security, firewall and antivirus products by following the same procedure as in Step 4.
- 6). Insert the Norton 360 CD into your CD-ROM drive. Follow the software prompts and choose all the default responses until the installation is complete. You may be asked, "Do you want Norton 360 to be your primary firewall?" Choose Yes. Reboot if you are prompted to do so.

Norton 360 finish
Double-click the Norton icon in the bottom right corner of your screen. Click Fix Now when the Norton Protection Center opens. Norton's installation will complete and be brought up-to-date.
