Are you leaving your finest photographs collecting digital dust on your hard drive? Do you have vivid, 'precious moment' images that you'd like to look at more often? If so, how about turning them into a one-of-a-kind, custom digital photo calendar? Of course, everyone knows that not all of our photos will be perfect...
But some will jump right out at you and remind you of certain times and 'warm feeling' experiences.
Grab these images! You're about to put them into your own portfolio - and showcase them proudly to the world (or at least, to your 'inner circle' of family and friends!) For an abundance of good reasons, it's great to share our family or 'good times' images with others.
In fact, you're naturally inclined to want 'everyone' to see them...
But how? And 'what's the best way to do this?' Well, one very cool way is by using a simple digital photo calendar.
And just so we're clear, we're not talking about an actual 'digital photo calendar' here (although you could very well call it that) either.
For simplicity's sake we just mean creating 'stunning' wall calendars using your own unique digital photos! In other words...
a 'photo calendar' which you can then print up, give to your friends or family, hang on your wall, promote across the Internet, sell on your website or photo blog, (or even on eBay), etc...
So let's go ahead and actually build ourselves one of these cool little photo calendars.
Here's what you do.
First up, you simply choose some of your favorite images.
Then you need to do a little online exploring..
so what I've done is saved you some serious research time by listing a bunch of places where you can easily turn your digital photos into a photo calendar...
Here's a few websites that'll do that for you: BigHugeLabs.
com, CafePress.
com & SnapFish.
com.
(The first two give you a free digital version of your calendar that you can download to your hard drive and then print out or save to a CD/take to a print shop.
The others give you nice 'real' wall or desk calendar that you can purchase - and then 'send' to yourself, or a friend).
Actually...
this is the real 'secret' behind getting your photos into a calendar...
you just need to know where (as in, what web sites) to use.
The rest of the process is reasonably straightforward.
(Although you do need to have a fair idea of how to prepare your images before printing! Tip: Get someone to help you do this if it's going to be too challenging!) Then just a few more simple steps...
a) upload your photo/s to one of the photo calendar web sites above.
b) choose a specific calendar size and other details c) decide on a month and a year you want your calendar to have d) then hit the 'create' button or order your own calendar...
Simple, eh? Once you've done all that then you'll have yourself an enjoyable photo calendar that you can then download onto your hard drive as a.
PDF, or maybe a jpeg image file...
Or, if you're 'outsourcing' the printing, you can expect to receive your calendar in a week or so...
But overall, not too bad for a few minutes work! Then take your digital photo calendar 'work of art' and go impress your friends with it...
Print it out onto card, or email to everyone you know, (try selling it on eBay), put it up proudly on your wall, or if you created and bought yourself a 'real' photo wall calendar, then send it to a few friends.
They'll be touched by your thoughtfulness!
