- 1). Pull the detach lever on the back of the water tank, near the base of the Bissell unit.
- 2). Open the cap and fill with water until you meet the fill line.
- 3). Pour in the amount of cleaning solution specified on your cleaner bottle.
- 4). Snap the water tank back into place and turn on the power switch. Give the unit two to three minutes to heat up.
- 5). Push the Power Brush steam cleaner over your carpeting, pulling the steam trigger as needed. Watch the water tank and refill with fresh water and cleaner as needed.
- 6). Detach and empty the water tank after cleaning. Rinse out the tank well and allow to air dry before placing back into the unit. Unsnap the plastic nozzle at the front base of the machine with the detach lever. Rinse this out as well and allow to air dry.
