Albuquerque libraries are part of the Rio Grande Valley Library system. The system serves Albuquerque and Bernalillo county with libraries and many services. You'll find computers, wifi service, homework help, clubs, classes, special events, and of course, a wide variety of books.
There are 17 libraries located throughout the metropolitan area, in neighborhoods both large and small. This list of library branches provides hours, location and contact information.
Wifi is available at all branch libraries, and computers can be used with a SmartCard.

(505)857-8321Cherry Hills has to be one of the busiest libraries in the city. It provides many programs and special rooms that can be used by the public. Find it off Harper on Barstow, just north of the Albuquerque Academy campus in the Northeast Heights.

The Main Library is the only library where parking can be an issue, because of its central location downtown. The parking garage across the street at 5th and Copper provides free parking. Bring your parking stub in to the library for validation. There are also meters on the street or in the rear lot. The library has an extensive children's library with multiple computers, an upstairs reading room and many programs. The North Valley branch serves the north valley area, and offers an extensive video and audio book collection. Like Los Griegos, there is a recycle/magazine exchange program, with free magazines. Take an old magazine and exchange it for a new one, free of charge.
