How To Pick Your College Major

103 7
So it's the end of your senior year of high school and you are about to graduate.
You got into the college that you wanted and everyone keeps asking the same questions.
What are your plans for the future? What are you going to do with your life? What are you going to study in college and the sometimes dreaded, what are you going to major in? If you are like most young people after high school, you probably have no idea.
It can be a very stressful time in anybody's life.
So much pressure is put on you to have a plan and have it "all figured out" by the time you are 18 or 19 years old.
You might have already been posed the question, what would you do with your life if making money were not an issue? This is the most important question to ask yourself when figuring out what path you will take.
So many times people feel that they have to follow a certain career path because there's "good money in it" or "it's a safe choice".
True fulfillment and eventual happiness in life will most likely not come from these types of decisions.
Once you have honestly answered this question, you can get started choosing a major.
Maybe you love music, theater, art, or have another passion that most people tell you will never make you any money.
If you are passionate about something, follow your heart.
If you work hard enough for something than anything is possible.
Once you have decided to follow your passion, get specific.
Many schools have very specialized major programs.
There are so many diverse opportunities that are available today.
Don't be afraid to explore all the options that are out there.
Follow your heart and your major will follow!
