    • Norton AntiVirus is run by the Symantec Corp. According to its website, the company constantly makes sure its virus definitions guard against the latest computer threats. If a new virus is emerging across the Internet, Symantec automatically updates its customers' programs to defend against the threat.

    Definition

    • Norton spots viruses from a number of angles. Any code that is replicating itself is usually determined to be a virus. A program that begins downloading information without the computer user's consent is usually a virus. Any executable files or files that are connected to a third party are monitored heavily by the Norton AntiVirus.
