    • 1). Attach a dry microfiber pad to the microfiber mop. Mop the perimeter of the floor with the dry microfiber pad. Be sure to mop the baseboard edges. Avoid picking up the mop, which allows larger pieces of debris to become trapped under the mop. These larger pieces of debris may contribute to scratches on the floor's finish.

    • 2). Use the dry mop to clean the rest of the floor. Begin at one end of the room and mop in a straight line to the opposite wall. Turn from this point and mop back towards the other wall, in a motion similar to mowing grass. Avoid picking up the mop.

    • 3). Remove the dry-use microfiber pad from the mop. Attach the wet-use microfiber pad to the mop.

    • 4). Fill a large bucket with 1 gallon of warm water. Add 1 cup of distilled white vinegar to the water. Stir to combine.

    • 5). Dip the wet-use microfiber mop head in the bucket. Squeeze out as much water as possible, leaving the mop just damp, not dripping wet.

    • 6). Divide the floor into several small sections. Mop one of the sections. Immediately dry the floor with a cotton towel. Use a circular, buffing motion to bring up the shine in the floor's finish.

    • 7). Repeat Step 6 until you have mopped and buffed all sections of the floor.

    • 8). Repeat this treatment at least once per week to keep the floors properly cleaned and shiny.

    • 9). Apply a floor refresher product to your newly cleaned floor. Allow the product to dry for three to four hours.

Repeat Step 9 annually in low-traffic areas, and semiannually in high-traffic areas, to maintain the finish and keep it shiny.
