- 1). Open the Audacity software program. If you don't have a current version of Audacity, you can download it for free.
- 2). Select the "File" menu.
- 3). Click "Open" to upload your LimeWire music. By default, your LimeWire files will be downloaded to the "Saved" folder in "My Documents."
- 4). Browse your computer to find your LimeWire audio file.
- 5). Highlight the LimeWire audio file, and then click "Open" again. You can now play or edit your file.
