Radeon 9200 SE Specs
- The 9200 SE uses the RV 280 Graphics Processing Unit. This GPU supports data buses with a maximum bandwidth of 128-bits using two 64-bit DDR memory channels. The stock configuration of the RV 280 has a core clock speed of 200 megahertz. The texture processing functions of this processor are compatible with bilinear, trilinear and anisotropic texture filtering methods. These filtering methods increase image quality by smoothing and sharpening textures.
- The memory used on the 9200 SE is available in three basic configurations including 64, 128 and 256 MB. Most versions of the 9200 SE use a 64-bit memory bus although some high end versions use a 128-bit interface. The stock memory clock settings for this card are 200 MHz with an effective memory clock of 400 MHz. The 9200 SE provides 3.2 GB per second of memory bandwidth using the 64-bit memory interface.
- The Radeon 9200 SE performs pixel shader operations at 800 MOperations per second. This card is capable of rendering pixels to the screen at 800 pixels per second and renders textured MPixels at a texture fill rate of 800 MTexels per second. The 9200 SE processes video geometry at a rate of 50 MVertices per second. Texture processing is rendered using four fragment pipelines, four texture units and four raster operators. Geometry processing is limited by the single vertex pipeline provided by this card.
- The Radeon 9200 SE is an older card that supports outdated Application Programming Interfaces used with older Operating Systems. This card only supports DirectX up to version 8.1 and OpenGL up to version 1.4. Since it only supports DirectX 8.1 it is only capable of using programs compatible with Pixel Shader 1.4 and Vertex Shader 1.1.
- The video output ports available on the 9200 SE are limited to older display ports. The basic models of this card support three types of video output including DVI-I, VGA and analog TV output. Some upgraded models also support High Definition television output and the Video In Video Out display port. This port enables video input and output using a VIVO adapter dongle.
