For example, if you go to law school within Europe and complete your education then you will need to bring your transcript back to Ontario and determine the equivalency for those credits. The law society within Ontario will determine if the courses you took abroad translate to credits that you would have completed within a local law school. Sometimes they will give you credit for several of them and expect you to take specific exams that will help you pickup on those credits. The exams required are spread out throughout the year and you can take one every 3 months if you have the time and patience to study for them. Either way, once you have completed the required exams you can then apply for the Ontario Bar and finally get licensed.
