    Fruit and Cheese Tray

    • You can't go wrong with a fruit and cheese tray. Appetizer trays provide a wide selection of snack foods, so each guest should be able to find something they enjoy. Cut a variety of cheeses, such as cheddar, Harvarti, Swiss, Colby and pepper jack, into squares and arrange them on an attractive gold or silver tray. Include several types of gourmet crackers and bunches of green and red grapes to create a complete platter. You also can carve a watermelon into a baby carriage shape and fill it with a variety of cut fruit.

    Finger Foods

    • If you want to serve guests something substantial without having to make a full meal, provide plenty of hearty finger foods. Guests can sample a variety of snacks while mixing and mingling. Make mini pizzas with English muffins, tomato sauce, shredded mozzarella and a selection of meat and vegetable toppings. Make egg, ham, tuna or chicken salad sandwiches on white bread and cut the crusts off create tea sandwiches.

    Themed Desserts

    • Get creative by making themed desserts for your guests. The whimsical treats also can serve as eye catching table decor. If the shower has a rubber ducky theme, top cupcakes with light blue frosting as water and mini marshmallows as soap bubbles. Place plastic rubber ducky cake toppers in the center of each cupcake. As another sweet option, stick unwrapped baby bottle or pacifier-shaped lollipops over the top of a frosted cake; make sure each guest gets a lollipop with their piece.

    Non-Alcoholic Punch

    • Quench guests' thirsts with fruity, non-alcoholic punch. In keeping with the rubber ducky theme, fill a large punch bowl with blue raspberry Kool-Aid, water, sugar, a can of thawed frozen pina colada mix and a bottle of 7-Up. Place scoops of vanilla ice cream in the blue punch as soap bubbles. Set a few rubber duckies on top of the punch so they float across the surface. For a pink punch, combine raspberry sherbet with ginger ale in a punch bowl. Stir the mixture until a pink froth forms on top.
