How to Take Stock Photos With a Kodak 7.1 Megapixel Camera
- 1). Load a fresh battery and empty memory card into your camera before starting to shoot your stock pictures.
- 2). Press the "Menu" button on the rear of the camera and set the image compression to "Best." This will record the pictures in JPEG format, the highest quality the camera can produce. Image quality and creativity are critical to make stock sales.
- 3). Write on a piece of paper the shots you want to take during your shooting day. Whether you are shooting lifestyle pictures, landscape, portrait or any other type of stock pictures, it is a good idea to plan your shooting day.
- 4). Start shooting and take a number of pictures for each scene or pose, adjusting the exposure slightly for each new picture you take. Camera light meters can sometimes be tricked, so adjusting the exposure by one-third or one-half a stop, over- and under-exposing, may yield a better picture than the first picture.
