However, the question is if these ways are all good for your health.  More often than not, weight loss diet includes exercises and proper food intake.  One of the most common types of a weight loss diet is the 1000 calorie a day diet.  On the average, an adult takes 1200 to 1500 calories a day.  Thus, reducing it to 1000 calories may be harmful if done wrongly.

On the other hand, you can plan a 1000 calorie a day diet in order to lose weight in a healthy way.  For starters, you can add eggs, goji berries, acai juice, soy milk, blue berries, and raw vegetables in your meals.  While doing this, you should avoid processed foods, unsaturated fat, rice, white flour junk food, oily food, and potatoes.

You should keep in mind that following this type of diet does not mean you have to starve yourself in order to lose weight.  You should only opt for foods that are rich in nutrients.  It is best to focus on fiber-rich foods and juices that are rich in antioxidants.  These kinds of food are better choices than those with unhealthy or unsaturated fats.

Although it may sound a little off, taking 5 to 6 meals a day is better than taking 2 major meals.  This would lead to high rate of metabolism.  However, you should make sure that you eat your meals on time and never miss them.  More so, it is best to avoid having a meal prior to going to sleep.

Finally, your 1000 calorie a day diet could be a success if you learn to chart everything you eat.  This would ensure that you do not go above the recommended food servings.  On the other hand, if you are unable to avoid the food that you should not eat due to a social call, make sure you adjust the amount the next day.  Say, if you have taken 1200 calories, make sure that you reduce it to 800 the next day.
