As you know, Twitter keeps rolling all day and all night long.
It's very hard to keep up with what everyone else wants to share, and some of those things are probably important to you and your business.
There is a solution.
Paper.
li, a web based application that can turn your Twitter into a daily newspaper, updates daily and can turn your Twitter feed into an easy legible archive of the past days tweets.
It turns the Tweets of people you follow into a magazine or newspaper stylized page and is made up of the sites (users) that you add to the feed.
It is completely controllable and customizable.
You can also post a link to your own personal newspaper into your Twitter character box, so that others can see what your main interests are.
It is very simple to use and is efficient.
As stated above, you may not have time to fish out what you want via Twitter on a daily basis, using Paperli will customize what you want to see, as well as summarize your Twitter stream daily.
Background: Paper.
li was created by a Swiss company called Small Rivers.
Their idea behind Paper.
li was to gather different links within your network and turn them into a sectional and social topic newspaper.
How it Works: Paper.
li uses your Twitter stream and archives a variety of links.
In turn, Paper.
li analyzes the information by using "Semantic Analysis Tools," which determines whether or not the link contains pertinent information.
Once it's all been analyzed, the links are formatted into sections determined by their context.
It also can create themed-based pages that use hash tags like "#social media" or "#photography" to place topics in certain sections, much like a newspaper that contains local news and a sports section.
In each section, if you place your mouse cursor over the link, it will reveal a tool the enables you to "retweet," "follow" or "unfollow" and make something your "favorite.
" Paperli, also allows you to create a feed from your Twitter lists.
Others: Paper.
li isn't the first site to be doing this, nor will it be the last, (I'm sure.
) La Monde is a French site similar to Paper.
li and helped to fund it.
Another service, TwitterTim.
es, isn't laid out in newspaper style, but does take information from your stream and composes it for you.
Basically, it is a long list of links from the people you follow, a little less stylized and organized than Paper.
li.
The major difference is Paper.
li only updates every 24 hours, whereas TwitterTim.
es updates on an ongoing basis.
Bottom Line: Paper.
li is really a great service to use because you are able to "catch up" faster and find links quicker.
Your Twitter stream is constantly changing, and it would take way too much time to go and search everything out each day.
Thus, using Paper.
li will allow you to use your time more efficiently, keep up with social networking trends, and you'll be able to play "catch up" quicker with information important to you.
