    Snickers

    • Snickers, a combination of milk chocolate, roasted peanuts, nougat and caramel, has become one of the most popular candy bars. Entering the candy bar market in 1930 and introduced by the Mars Family, Snickers was named after the family's horse.

    Reese's Peanut Butter Cups

    • Created in 1923 by Hershey employee Harry Burnett Reese, Reese's were first sold in vending machines. These chocolate-covered peanut cups evolved into the orange-packaged candy we know today and were sold in stores worldwide soon after their debut.

    Kit Kat

    • This popular candy bar was created in 1935 in England. Originally known as Rowntree's Chocolate Crisp, it became Kit Kat in 1937. This popular candy bar included chocolate-covered wafer sticks. The origin of its name comes from a popular 18th century European literary club, the London Kit Kat.

    Butterfinger

    • Butterfinger combines butter, peanut butter and chocolate. First entering the market in the 20s, Butterfinger had one of the most creative marketing campaigns in candy bar history. Its inventors, Curtiss Candy Corporation and Otto Schnering, dropped Butterfingers from airplanes in 40 different United States cities. The popularity of Butterfinger soared after this campaign.

    Milky Way

    • The Milky Way also debuted in the 1920's, Frank & Forrest Mars introduced it in 1923. This popular candy bar is made from caramel, milk chocolate and malt-flavored nougat. Its name is Mars in countries other than the United States. Recently, the candy bar has seen additional popularity as it is evolved into three different candy bar types. They are Midnight, Original and Lite.

    Other Popular Candy Bars

    • Some additional popular candy bars include Baby Ruth, M&M's, Oh Henry!, 3 Musketeers and the Hershey Bar. Many of these candy bars have evolved over time. Each of these candy bars contain different ingredients, however they are enjoyed by countless candy lovers worldwide.
