The cruises range from a 25-night trip embarking from San Francisco, California, to a near around-the-world excursion pushing off from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The longer trip includes 162 nights on the sea while reaching more than 100 ports of call, including Christmas Island.

Holland America Line Cruises

• The ms Rotterdam cruise ship is "standard-bearer" for the Holland America Line. The Rotterdam was refurbished and enhanced in 2009 and now offers a $2 million art and antique collection along with more space on the decks and in the staterooms. It holds 1,404 passengers and 600 crew members.
  
  The ms Rotterdam cruises out of the port in Seattle and returns to San Diego after stops in 15 ports throughout Hawaii and the Central Pacific islands of French Polynesia, the Cook Islands and Kiribati. It also has a variety of other cruises ranging between 30 and 65 days that leave from other ports while still filtering through Fanning Island.

Yachts of Seabourn

• The Seabourn Odyssey is part of the Yachts of Seabourn fleet of award-winning cruise ships. It offers travelers "ultra-luxury cruising" while touring throughout the Pacific. Trips range from 25 to 95 nights on the sea with a stop at Fanning Island on the Central Pacific portion of the itinerary.
  
  The Seaborn Odyssey is more of a yacht than a cruise liner and offers five-star dining and rooming options as the flagship of the fleet. The quarters consist of 225 suites with ocean views and they range in size from 295 to 1,682 square feet. They all have separate areas for the living room and bedroom and 90 percent of the rooms have a private veranda.
