How to Vote If You Have Moved
- 1). Go to a local government office to pick up a voter registration form. Offices that carry these forms include the state or local election office, the Department of Motor Vehicles, the public assistance agency, state-funded programs that help with the disabled, the public library, public schools or city or county clerk's office.
- 2). Fill out the application. The applications will vary by state. Generally, you will be asked for your name, address, date of birth and ID number. Your signature will also be required at the bottom of the form.
- 3). Mail in the form. Once you have completed the form, simply drop it in a mail box. Once your voter registration application is received, a new card will be issued. Go to your election district on election day to cast your ballet.
