Rejuvenating Your Skin During Early Spring

Early spring is the time to start rejuvenating skin that has grown tired and dull from the long winter chill.
We've spent months layered and bundled, and our skin likely shows it.
Since warmer weather means bare legs and arms, it's time to start now! The legs are an important focal point.
Soon, you'll want to be wearing shorts, or spring and summer dresses, and your legs need to be ready.
Don't wait until the last minute, as getting your skin back into peak condition takes a bit of time.
Start with conditioning the legs.
Your legs are almost certainly pale from having been covered all winter long.
Sun exposure isn't that healthy for skin anyhow.
Instead, consider self-tanner or bronzer.
Don't buy it and apply it right off, though, or you'll find yourself with a streaky, spotty result.
Your winter skin probably has dead flaky or dry skin, which will cause your self-tanner to take unevenly.
Exfoliate first, and get all of the dead skin off of the legs.
Then use the self-tanner.
Finish up with moisturizer, after the self-tanner has had time to soak in and is dry to the touch.
Your legs should also be toned.
Start an exercise regime.
It does not have to be complex.
Here are a couple of easy exercises that can make a big difference: -Calf raises: You'll need to stand on something that allows you to have your heels hanging off of the back, like an aerobic step bench or a stair.
Stand with the balls of your feet on the stair and your heels not in contact with the surface.
Raise up on tiptoe and then lower back down over and over.
Your calves should burn while you are doing this, this indicates you are toning the muscle.
-Jump rope: If you want an easy, inexpensive full-body conditioning workout, try jumping rope.
It is great for the legs, and also provides an excellent cardiovascular workout as well.
A couple weeks of jumping rope for a half-hour daily will have you in stellar shape for even the flirtiest dresses and skirts.
