Though this stance may seem a little harsh, it's the best way to deal with your ex at the moment.
Any kindness and affection shown by you will be like putting gasoline on a fire.
This works because you're able to get a little psychological power back.
Sure, it's tough love, but that's human nature and it is the only way your ex will ever have any respect for you, let alone feelings.
