- 1). Download and install Virtual PC 2007. (See References below for link.)
- 2). Download and install IE6-XPSP3.exe. (See References below for link.) This will expand the VHD file.
- 3). Launch Virtual PC 2007. Click the "New" button. The New Virtual Machine Wizard will launch. Click "Next" at the welcome screen.
- 4). Select "Create a virtual machine" and click "Next." Enter a name for your virtual machine and click "Next."
- 5). Choose "Windows XP" as OS and click "Next." Choose "Using recommended RAM" and click "Next." Choose "An existing virtual hard disk" and click "Next."
- 6). Click "Browse" to locate your hard disk that you installed in step 2 (VHD file). Click "Open" and then "Next." Click "Finish" to create your virtual machine with IE 6. To start the IE6 virtual machine, launch Virtual PC 2007 and click "Start."
